FRIDAY 2.15.08 - 1 PETER 2:23-25
When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. "He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and lie for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed." For "you were like sheep going astray," but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

What do You make of this verse? My first read made me start spewing all sorts of questions, made me think about all the different directions that I might explore. But what do You want to bring out from this verse this morning, hopefully to engage me throughout my day?

Instead of typing out all my thoughts here, kind of putting a bow on them and shipping them out, I'm going to try to process this through my shower, shaving, getting ready. I'm praying, Lord, that this will then lead to my meditating on Your Word through classes, preps, lunches, workouts, etc. Allow me to come to You today, to come and be with You as You move about in this world. Amen.
