The Downturn

Wow, everything was so good, and then...well, I don't want to sound like a whiner Lord, but I know this is the seemingly inevitable downturn. I don't seem as excited to get into the Scriptures, and when I do get there it doesn't seem to be the same connection, the same energy that was there before. I just want that back. We head on vacation tomorrow night and I know that a time of rest is often a time of renewal with You. I ask for that. I plead for that. I beg for that refreshing.

The nice, assuring thing is that I know You are a God who will hear my cry. I know You are a God who delivers us from our downturns. I anxiously await the morning, for I know You will be new.
