Posting Elsewhere Right Now
I know I have been absent from this space for a long time. Right now, I am posting my devotional thoughts at an alternate site: http://matthewshours.blogspot.com.
light and darkness, is darkness simply the absence of light, and therefore it is our job as disciples to shine light on each situation in order to dispel darkness?
three questions: 1. why did Jesus come to earth? 2. what would He be doing in our neighborhood? 3. what can we be doing to make that happen?
the Word is Jesus and Jesus is the Word (Jesus as the bread of life, the water of eternal life, the Word being a thing of sustance and food supply for Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and John)
the myriad of paradoxes that make up God (mercy and justice, God and man, omnipresent but sometimes absent)
God's family-like feelings for us (He calls us bride, wife, son, child, and daughter in Scripture)
the connection of salvation and righteousness (in the book of Isaiah they almost always show up together)
