Lord, it's always interesting to open up Your Word, but it is sometimes confusing. Or, well, straightforward but not seeming to say anything. Say anything useful for living anyways. I know that seems pretty harsh, but it's the truth. Like I said, I want to be completely honest.
So today I stumble across Genesis 5 in my studies. It's a geneology from Adam to Noah. Ten generations, guys that lived a long time and had lots of sons and daughters. Many of them are godly and are said to have walked with You, both from the text we see Enoch is like that and in the blessings of longevity that many of these 10 men receive.
Maybe it is because I am tired, but my reaction here is like: "Okay, they were fruitful and they multiplied. These numbers of ages are probably significant, but since nobody really seems to know why, then I'll just leave them. So what else is there?" I know I'm complaining like a little child, but what is the point here?
For the time being, I guess I'll just file this passage away in my mind and move on. Perhaps the significance of the line will show up as I go through the rest of Genesis.

Don't miss the four word testimony in Genesis 5:22,24 "Enoch walked with God" That's all we have to do to please God. Walk with Him in Faith. God wants our company, and the only way to do that in this day and age is to walk by faith and not by sight. The law of Moses did not exist in Enoch's era. He had no rules and regs. But Enoch is listed in Fenesis nad the again in Hebrews 11:5. My thoughts on Hebrews? You can never please God without faith, without depending on Him. We must belive God is who He says He is and know He rewards those who seek Him or walk with Him.
